Isometric Style Configuration - Dimensioning Slope

To configure how Slope is dimensioned in an Isometric, click the Slope tab to display the following options.
SettingDescription
Slope Description (Options) The following slope options are available; shown with value example in parenthesis.
  • Percentage (5%)
  • Angle (3.4°)
  • Ratio (1:20)
  • Fall/Length (35 mm/m or 1 in/ft)
  • None (No annotation)
As you click on one of the slope options, the following fields let you define how the slope is depicted in the isometric:
  • Text
  • Accuracy
  • Threshold
See details how each field is defined below.
Slope Description (Fields)
  • Text — In the Text field, you can define what slope annotation text is placed in the isometric. By default, the first percent (%) symbol in the field will be replaced with the actual value when the slope is calculated. Any additional text added before or after that (%) symbol will be added in the isometric as well.

For example, if you select the Fall/Length option and set the Text value to: Fall % m/mm

If the slope ends up being a 35mm fall, then it is annotated as shown:
  • Accuracy — Determines how precise the slope value is displayed. The value defined the number of places to right of decimal to display.
For example, if the calculated slope is 5.36 then if:
    • Accuracy=0 would result in 5
    • Accuracy=1 would result in 5.4
    • Accuracy=2 would result in 5.36
    • Accuracy=4 would result in 5.36 (zeros are filtered).
  • Threshold — For horizontal pipe with a small fall or rise value, the Threshold value determines how the slope will be depicted in the isometric. For example, if the Threshold value was 3, and the rise/fall was 4 (as shown below), then the slope is displayed as shown below:
If the rise/run value is less than the Threshold value, then the line is flattened out and a slope annotation is placed on selected components (see below):
